About NetCheck

Network tools that get straight to the point.

NetCheck brings together the essential tools to check and troubleshoot a site or a domain: DNS lookup, propagation, WHOIS, SSL certificate, HTTP headers, IP address… all free, fast and without sign-up.

Our mission

Most existing network tools are slow, dated or drowning in ads. NetCheck offers a modern, instant experience, designed for webmasters and curious minds alike.

What NetCheck offers

NetCheck brings together six tools to check a domain, a website or your connection. Each comes with a guide explaining how to read the result:

• DNS lookup
• DNS propagation
• WHOIS for a domain
• Check an SSL certificate
• HTTP headers of a URL
• My IP address

How our tools work

• DNS lookups query several public resolvers live, to show what internet users actually see.
• WHOIS, SSL certificate and HTTP header checks are run by our server, read-only: we change nothing and keep no result.
• A result reflects the moment of the query: after a DNS change, caches can take several hours to update.
• If a tool seems to return an error, tell us through the form below: we will fix it.

Our commitments

• No sign-up, no artificial limit.
• No lookup stored or linked to you.
• Anonymous visitor statistics, with no tracking cookies.
• Discreet advertising that never gets in the way of the tool.

How is it funded?

NetCheck is free, funded by unobtrusive advertising. That covers the server costs and lets us build new tools, without ever degrading the experience.
